Arrival at Cochin. Received at airport . Transfer to hotel. After freshen up proceed for local sightseeing. (Interested places, Fortkochi Chinese Fishing Nets, Beach, Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue; Mattancherry, Marine Drive etc. Overnight stay in Cochin.
After breakfast proceed for Munnar. Munnar is a Hill station, situated at about 5000 ft. above sea level. The mesmerizing beauty of the tea gardens and the light chilly weather will take your heart. Sightseeing places: Tea museum, tea garden, photo point. At Tea museum, there is also a tea tasting demonstration room with a variety of teas on display. The museum also has a mini-CTC and orthodox tea manufacturing unit to educate the tourists of the different aspects of tea processing. This is a must visit site when holidaying in Munnar. Tickets can be purchased at the Museum. Overnight stay in Munnar.
Another day, even more fresh, is on the start. After breakfast proceed for sightseeing. Visit: Eravikulam National Park (You can see the NILGIRI TAHR here. No private vehicles are allowed here. Everyone should be in ‘Q’ for entry tickets. Department vehicle will take you to the location). Later visit Mattupetty dam (option of boating here), Echo point, Kundala dam, lake, Blossom garden and then free time for shopping. Overnight stay in Munnar.
After breakfast proceed with those memory filled days to Thekkady (approx. 4 hrs). Thekkady is a small town in the forest. The wild life sanctuary and plantation spot are the main attractions here. Check-in your hotel. After freshen up go for local sightseeing : Plantation tour -This tour covers visits to spice, coffee and tea plantations, tea factories, tribal settlements etc. Elephant junction (option of elephant ride here); boating at Periyar Lake around the forest. Boating on the Periyar Lake enables visitors to have a close look at the wildlife that inhabits the surrounding forests. Groups of elephant, wild boar, bison and sambar can be seen moving along the banks skirting the forest. And water birds, perched on tree stumps with their wings spread, present a delightful sight while boating. Option to watch Kathakali&Kalaripayattu show (Kerala traditional martial arts performance) in the evening. Overnight stay at Thekkady.
This day you are heading for a thrilling experience of houseboat in Alleppey backwaters. Reach Alleppey by 12 noon and embark in your houseboat. The most scenic beauty of the backwaters and the houseboat you are travelling will make your heart succumbed to the nature. All your foods will be served in the boat itself. Enjoy the cruise, see the village life around and watch the backwaters joining the sea. Don’t forget to see the paddy fields below the sea level, probably you won’t get to see it anywhere else. Overnight stay in Houseboat at Alleppey.
The final day of your ever remembering tour. After breakfast checkout and departure. Drop at Cochin airport /railway station (approx. 2 hrs) to catch your flight/train for the return journey with lots & lots of sweet memories in mind.
